Krabi / Ao Phra Nang

Krabi is the name of a province and also the largest city in the province. The beaches are located along the coast and islands, a little bit west of Krabi town. Krabi town, I have just been through to get to one of the most popular beaches - Ao Nang half hour drive northwest.

Nature.
The beach at Ao Nang Krabi area around is filled with limestone caves and it is much natural beauty - quite different from other parts of Thailand.

Organized a large selection of tours to the fabeltagtige limestone caves are in the area. Many of canoe trips in the wild.

What is Ao Phra Nang
Ao Phra Nang is a fairly relative calm and relaxing small tourist area, however, are rapidly evolving. Travel books quickly become outdated mht accommodations and restaurants.

Site or city, consisting of a road that runs down to the beach in the north. Follows the beach a kilometer money and then up again. Along the beach are there shops and restaurants. It is purely tourism and nothing else, but rather something beautiful and most probably will like!

My first visit
Krabi 2000 I was there during the rainy season in mid-September - much rain - so there was very very empty and I was there only a short time. I should really have been craving a little south of Krabi. But some would be different - I left Nong Khai on the border with Laos in northern Thailand, pgra. unimaginable amounts of rain and floods in different places. Would to Trang by air via Hat Yai. But there was also a little rain can say. Anyway planes could not be easier so I was in Hat Yai for a few days and went from there to Krabi. It was with a minibus which would take 5 hours. OK I thought, but I had not taken account of the bus after 2 hours' drive simply would not continue. And when the sun shone from a clear sky, we were fairly warm through until a new coach came and drove us forward.

How I came to Krabi by chance.

Next last visit was in January 2004 on a Ao Nang beach road company outing. Everything has now changed. What used to bar a little touch of Thailand has now taken over by the touristy Thailand. There is as little as Thai Fano filled with German tourists are Danish. It stores the tourists want. Restaurants for tourists and all sorts of tourist stalls. No real Thai business. Yes, as my Thai colleagues said there was not much point in being there for them. But nice is there.
