Based on Phuket and Krabi are so many times we have decided to try something completely different. We saw the small fishing village call Bang Bao on Koh Chang. This is also our first time on Koh Chang, much less develop, compared to Phuket. Bang Bao is located on the south side of the island, about 45 minutes a truck ride through the many hairpins way.
The place is small, only a long stretch of wooden deck with dive shops, seafood restaurants and localCases on both sides. It may take 5 minutes to go sea fromroad end end. There is limited and cheap accommodation for the visitors. Since the space is largely unknown, they have no reservation travel agency. We stay at this place called Bang Bao Sea Hut, which is quite charming. It consists of 12 individual cottage, built from the nearby coast. Each cottage is an octagon room, with half open shower. You hear the waves come when you shower. We spend 2 nights in thisPlace, and get to know almost everyone in the neighborhood.
We went diving with one of the local dive shops in a nearby town. It is very convinient since the boarding deck is just one minutes from our beach hut. And the dive sites are within 30 minutes boat ride. We tried a few seafood restaurant at night, nothing special, just your basic Thai dishes.
